RHINE, Ga. (AP) — A coroner says a man has died after three men rescued him from a mobile home fire in south Georgia.
Dodge County Coroner Joe Smith tells The Telegraph of Macon (http://bit.ly/1iw3cQM ) that 55-year-old Gary Lynn Williamson died after the men noticed his mobile home engulfed in flames and kicked down the door around 4 p.m. Saturday to save him. Smith says the men led Williamson out of the home with his arms burned.
Smith says Williamson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Smith says Williamson was home sick from his job with the Dodge County Transit System and was alone at the time of the fire.
Authorities are investigation the cause of the fire.
