Lowndes County Commissioner Demarcus Marshall earned his certification as a county commissioner from the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government.

He completed the 66 hours of required coursework to earn this certification.

“As your county commissioner, I feel that it is my duty to lead from the front in demonstrating the highest standards and professionalism expected in local government,” Marshall said.

This program ensures that county commissioners are proficient in the laws and operations of county government.
