Dr. H. Grady Williams Jr.
Dr. H. Grady Williams Jr., 66, of Nashville, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at Crawford Long Hospital, Atlanta. Born March 9, 1935, in Ben Hill County, he was the son of Henry Grady Williams and Daphine Morris. He graduated from Medical College of Georgia and practiced family medicine in Nashville. He was a church member for 32 years, a former member of the Berrien County Board of Education, a former commissioner for Berrien County, a member of the Berrien County hospital advisory board, director of regional boards of health and mental health, and a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He is survived by his wife, Joy Hatcher Williams, Nashville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie and Robert Griner, Nashville, Melanie and John Goss, Ashburn, Susan and Brion Akins, Nashville; one son and daughter-in-law, H. Grady "Hank" and Nanci Williams III, Athens; two brothers, Dr. Bill Williams, Mike Williams; and four granddaughters. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bagwell and Rev. Bill Dupree officiating. The family requests memorials to the United Methodist Church preschool or local charity of choice. Burial will be at Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is after 3 p.m. today with family receiving friends from 7 - 9 p.m. -- Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
