Charlotte Darlene Jackson

NASHVILLE -- Charlotte Darlene Jackson, 55, of Nashville, died on Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at Berrien County Hospital. She was born on Dec. 13, 1946, in Summit County, Ohio to Pearl and Jane Smith. She was a homemaker and former assistant manager of Nashville Flash Foods and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Dewey Jackson, who died on March 16, 1988. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Jackson of Nashville; two daughters, Sue Mickel of Vienna, Wanda E'Dalgo of Ray City; two sons, Eugene H. Jackson and William Jackson, both of Nashville; six grandchildren; three sisters, Janice Greenlee of Akron, Ohio, Lori Bailey of Barberton, Ohio, Darlene Smith of Akron; two brothers, Junior Smith and Danny Smith, both of Akron; and foster father, William Paugh of Barberton, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Sloan and Carl Pafford officiating. Burial will be in Lenox City Cemetery. Burle B. Taylor

VALDOSTA -- Burle B. Taylor, 84, of Valdosta, died on Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at Heritage House Nursing Home. He was born on Oct. 10, 1918, in Cook County to the late C.F.H. and Tallulah Webb Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a retired letter carrier with the U.S. Post Office, a member of the first organized Navy Seabeas's during WWII, and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lanell Wright Taylor of Valdosta; two sons, Brinson and JoAnn Taylor and Robert Lee Taylor, both of Valdosta; grandchildren, Stacey and Virgil Moore, Brinson Taylor Jr., Stephanie Taylor, Amy Taylor and Anna Taylor; stepgrandchildren, Dr. Stephen and Lori Wilson; great-grandchildren, Cole, Saralyn, Kyle and Shelbie Moore; stepgreat-grandchildren, Stephen, Evan and Katie Wilson, former daughter-in-law, Lynn T. Taylor; sisters, Edna Stone of Valdosta, Geraldine Dingus of Ohio, and Martha Jean Crosby of Adel; brother, Bill Taylor of Adel. Services for Mr. Taylor will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 12 in the Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim VanLandingham officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Hahira. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. -- Carson McLane Funeral Home



Flavil H. McLeod

Flavil H. McLeod, 89, of Valdosta, died Tuesday at South Georgia Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Carson McLane Funeral Home.
