David Anthony Crawford

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- David Anthony Crawford, 15, of Clarksville, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002. He was born on Oct. 28, 1986, in Columbus. David was a student, was on the drama team and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He is survived by his parents, Mikelyn and Anthony Crawford; one sister, Suzanne Elisabeth Crawford, all of Clarksville; his grandmother, Lila Clark Crawford; aunt, Nita Lynch, both of Leesburg; two uncles, Cecil and Timothy Allred of Columbus; three cousins, Clifford Lynch of Leesburg, Justin and Aaron Allred of Columbus. Graveside funeral services and interment will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, in Friendship Cemetery in Hahira with Father Wieslaw Burakowski officiating. Eunice Hayes

HOMERVILLE -- Eunice Hayes, 58, of Homerville, passed away Sunday night at the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, following an extended illness. A native of Wauchula County, Fla., she had lived in Clinch County since 1989. She was a homemaker and was the daughter of the late Ralph Tew and Rachel Douglas. She was the widow of Clifford E. Hayes Sr. Survivors are three sons, Merton Hayes, Statenville, John and Bellie Jo Hayes, Douglas, and Clifford Hayes Jr., Tampa, Fla.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Mary H. Poole, Pensacola, Fla., Debbie H. and Larry Goss, Homerville, Sandy Hayes, Moore Haven, Fla., and Patricia H. and Tye Gillard, Zepher Hills, Fla.; one sister, Jackie Thompson, Pelham; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Helen Tew, Homerville, Nelson and Paula Hicks, Lakeland, and Keith Douglas, Homerville; several grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Hayes will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Mrs. Hayes will be cremated and burial will be held in North Cemetery near DuPont at a later date. Ethel G. Swigart

VALDOSTA -- Ethel G. Swigart, 85, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, after a period of declining health. Born in Mifflin County, Pa., to the late Ralph and Lottie Ruble Goss, Mrs. Swigart had lived in Valdosta for the past 23 years. She was a member of Evangel Assembly of God and formerly Spring Run Church of the Brethren in McVeytown, Pa. She was devoted to her family and to her Lord, Jesus Christ. Survivors include her son and two daughters-in-law, Lee and Peggy Swigart of Valdosta and Molly Swigart of Phoenixville, Pa.; two granddaughters, Sherry and Jonathon Pentecost of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Stacey Swigart of Phoenixville, Pa., and a grandson, Matthew Swigart of Phoenixville, Pa. Also surviving are two sisters, Tressie Sunderland of McVeytown, Pa., and Dorothy Leach of Lewistown, Pa.; three brothers, Ralph Goss, Donald Goss and Elrose Goss, all of Lewistown, Pa; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair R. Swigart, son Daryl Swigart, and five sisters, Thelma Dickson, Bertha Eisenhouth, Mable Wilson, Doris Wert and Katheryn Shaffer. Funeral services and burial will be held in McVeytown, Pa., on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002. Albert Matthew Touchton

MORVEN -- Albert Matthew Touchton, 83, of Morven, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born in Brooks County, he was the son of Edward and Gladys McCord Touchton. Mr. Touchton moved back to Brooks County in the 1970's from Live Oak, Fla., and managed Lawson's Pond. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Essie Mae Cook, 87, of Hahira, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in Daytona Beach, Fla.
