Jerry "Willie" Daniels

NAYLOR -- Jerry "Willie" Daniels, 73, of Naylor, passed away early Tuesday morning, Jan. 8, 2002, at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Carabelle, Fla., and had lived in Naylor most of his life. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was Holiness by faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Joy Daniels; one son Carlie Daniels; and two brothers, L.T. Daniels and James Clifton Daniels. Survivors include his wife, Louise Daniels of Naylor; three sons and daughters-in-law, Freddie Daniels, James and Debbie Daniels, all of Naylor, Huey and Sharon Daniels of Lakeland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Theron Chambers of Hahira, Jean Daniels, Lakeland; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Ila V. Singletary of Valdosta; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Little Block Holiness Church in Ray City with burial following in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. today with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. -- Music Funeral Services of Lakeland



Carrie Wilkerson King

ADEL -- Carrie Wilkerson King, 81, Cecil, died Jan. 8, 2002, at Heritage House Nursing Home in Valdosta after a long illness. Mrs. King was born on Aug. 21, 1920, in Wakulla, Fla., to the late Willie Alaska "Bill" and Arpie Parker Wilkerson. She lived most of her life in Cook County and was a member of Adel United Methodist Church. She was also a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late James Elmo King, one daugher, Brenda Joyce King, and one granddaughter, Shanon Jo Johnson. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Clark Goode of Houston, Texas, Judy and Joe Johnson of Douglasville, Myrna and George Fiveash Jr. of Cecil, Tami and Harry Thornton of Valdosta; three brothers, Leighton Wilkerson of Suwannee, Fla., Edward "Bob" Wilkerson of Staten Island, N.Y., and Medders "Red" Wilkerson of Lexington, Ky.; one sister, Betty Fisher of Oregon; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Adel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Craig Hutto and the Rev. Dillard Ensley officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Methodist Children's Home or the church of your choice. Howard Lee Lucas, 76, of Augusta, formerly of Enigma, died on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at the VA/Uptown in Augusta. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Enigma City Cemetery with the Rev. Leland Watson officiating. There will be no visitation. -- Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
