Charles Gary Bryan
RAY CITY -- Charles Gary Bryan, 64, of Ray City, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001 at his home. He was born in Hillsborough County, Fla., on March 27, 1937. Mr. Bryan was a self-employed general insurance agent and was a member of Adel United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Nashville Post, 5978 Veterans of Foreign Wars and had served 15 years in the U.S. Army as chief warrant officer in the 101st airborne division. He saw tours of duty in Korea and Vietnam. He is survived by his mother, Myrtle Bryan of Ray City; daughter, Kathryn Tatum of Tifton; three sons, Charles Gary Bryan, Jr. of Canton, Daniel James Bryan of Ocala, and Donald McKinley Bryan of Hernando, Miss.; two sisters, Barbara Fontera of Naylor, and Betty Jean Starling of Ray City; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville with the Rev. Graig Hutto officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. -- Lovein Funeral Home.
Russell A. Gray
ALBANY -- Russell A. Gray, 61, of 1602 Pearl Ave., Albany, died Sunday morning at his residence following an illness. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Freewill Baptist Church with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany. Rev. Johnny Richter and Rev. Owen Williams will officiate. A native of Adel, Mr. Gray was raised in Berrien County and was a 1958 graduate of Berrien County High School. He has lived in Albany since 1968 and was retired from National Distributing Company. Mr. Gray was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Clack Gray of Albany; two daughters, Felicia McCorvey of Jacksonville, and Pam Richter and her husband Greg of Albany; two stepdaughters, Wendy Braswell and her husband Scott, and Tania Hammack and her husband Tony, both of Albany; a brother, Lamar Gray and his wife Mary of Nashville; a sister, Frances Plair of Valdosta; four grandchildren, Kelsey Richter of Albany, Christian McCorvey and Madison McCorvey of Jacksonville, and Devan Hammack of Albany. The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors in Albany on Monday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. -- Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors.
