Mary Exum Bellamy

QUITMAN -- Mary Exum Bellamy, 78, of Quitman, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at her residence after a lengthy illness. A lifelong resident of Brooks County, she was the daughter of William Oscar Sr. and Mary Martha Kendrick Bellamy. She was a retired laundry worker for the Presbyterian Home and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Montene (Charles) Westmore of Jacksonville, Fla., Joann Williamson, Valdosta, Bonnie (Jack) Bernard, Waycross; stepdaughter, Izetta Haya, Zephyrhill, Fla.; four sons and daughter-in-law, Eddie Dale Bellamy, Mickey (Jacquelyn) Bellamy, Timothy Bellamy, all of Quitman, Jeffery Bellamy, Ray City; one stepson, Wilbur Dean Bellamy, Quitman; one sister, Daisey Lashley, Adel; one brother, Gene Exum of Quitman. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Maxwell-Miller Chapel with the Rev. Arnold Hodum officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Cody Lane

NAYLOR -- Cody Lane, 13, of Naylor, passed away late Sunday night, Oct. 14, 2001, at his residence following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Cook County and had lived in Naylor most of his life. He was a student at Moulton Branch Elementary School in Lowndes County and a member of the Naylor Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lillie Mayor and maternal grandfather, Talmadge Chaney. Survivors include his mother, Lisa Chaney Lane of Naylor; father, Les Lane of Adel; sister, Mandy Lane of Naylor; brother, Jason Lane of Naylor; maternal grandmother, Mary Nell Chaney of Naylor; paternal grandfather, James Lane of Barretts; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today at the Naylor Holiness Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Rebekah Panturis Rouse

Rebekah Panturis Rouse died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001 at home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Central Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1990 Highland Ave., Augusta, with Rick Culler officiating. -- DeLoach Funeral Homes of Hephzibah
