VALDOSTA — Valdosta-Lowndes County Habitat for Humanity is building a home in Anchorage, Alaska.
The local chapter will work in partnership with its sister affiliate in Tauranga, New Zealand, with each group sending 12 volunteers to Anchorage.
The Valdosta group will leave May 22 and return June 2.
While building the house, volunteers will have a couple of days to participate in tourism and cultural activities, such as a wildlife cruise.
The total cost for the trip is $1,660, plus airfare, and counts as a tax-deductible donation.
The total cost is due April 6.
Interested volunteers can contact Molly Ferrier, Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative coordinator, at (229) 460-3018.
