At 11:49 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of North St. Augustine Road, an officer conducted an investigation of a traffic collision after which Stephen Andrew Hutchins, 23, of Valdosta was charged with driving too fast for conditions, following too closely and driving without a license, according to a police report.
At 1:55 p.m. Saturday at 3274 Inner Perimeter Road, Richard David, 38, of Lake City, Fla., was charged with shoplifting an HP Pavilion computer valued at $798, according to a police report.
At 10:40 p.m. Saturday, on North Ashley Street, an officer stopped a 1998 Dodge Neon with no brake lights when he discovered that the driver had an expired license and two warrants for her arrest, according to police reports. Driver Sebrina Diane Adkinson, 36, of Norman Park, was charged with equipment violations, marijuana possession, probation violation, licensing -- registration violation, no proof of insurance and other offenses not covered; passenger Jami Rene Taylor, 27, of Adel, was charged with two counts of synthetic narc -- possession, marijuana possession, probation violation and other offenses not covered, say reports.
At 2:23 a.m. Sunday at 2159 Bemiss Road an unidentified individual fired several gunshots in the area of Ricks nightclub; a handgun and shell casings were found at the scene, say reports
At 3:55 a.m. Sunday, an officer responded in reference to a man damaging a front door, causing less than $500 in damages and slamming a woman to the ground injuring her right ankle, according to a police report. As a result, Lance Montgomery Hiers, 32, of Valdosta, who formerly lived at the Bemiss Road, residence with the female, was charged with simple battery and criminal trespass private property -- vandalism, according to a police report.
At 4:14 a.m. Sunday, an officer responded when a 1998 Mercury struck a fixed utility pole on North Ashley Strett, according to a police report. Misty Brown, 30, of Valdosta, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and other traffic violations, say reports.
