Lowndes High School will conduct its Homecoming parade at 4 p.m. today.

About 58 vehicles, including 19 floats, will line up at Valhalla Drive and turn right on Norman Drive. Parade participants will loop through the Convention Center parking lot on Norman Drive, then return to the school. Candy will be thrown.

Lowndes officials say this is the first Homecoming parade at the school in 16 years. The school is interested in continuing the tradition of a parade each year.
