Rock-N-Rodeo will host a New Year's Eve party tonight starting at 9 p.m. Cover charge is $5 for ages 21 and over and $6 for everyone else and includes party favors. Live entertainment will be provided by Strawberry Nixon.

The Southside Boosters will sponsor the 13th Annual Kwanzaa Celebration at the McMullen Library, 527 Griffin Ave., through Saturday. Each night's activities begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. and will feature guest authors, poets, musicians, storytellers, art exhibits, and a journey through the middle passage.
