Seven members of the Brooks County High School Student Council and their advisor recently joined with others around the state for the 64th Annual Georgia Association of Student Councils State Convention. The theme for the convention was "The Magic of Leadership," and it was held at South Georgia College in Douglas. 

Participating members were Lacey Renfroe, Ashley Vann, Hannah Thompson, Amy Cason, Pam Croft, Jarred Huffmaster, Brandon Combs and advisor Patricia Waters. Students attended leadership workshops and participated in the election of new state officers.

Brooks County High School was recognized for participation in the state project, which supports Ronald McDonald House, and for being a Gold Member contributor to the state scholarship fund.
