Valdosta police seize marijuana, crack cocaine; arrest three

VALDOSTA — The Valdosta Police Department released the following statement this morning:

 

 

On October 12, 2013 at approximately 11:30 am, after an investigation of narcotics activity, members of the Valdosta Police Department Narcotics Unit seized 21.5 pounds of marijuana and conducted a search of a 410 S. Fry Street apartment where they seized 920.2 grams of marijuana and .7 grams of crack cocaine, along with other evidence. The total value of the narcotics seizure was $213,578.00. Willie Williams, Shynice Baker, and Carrinda Brown were all arrested as a result of this investigation. All three are being charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime, and Possession of Cocaine. Williams was also charged with Trafficking Marijuana and Brown had an active arrest warrant for a Probation Violation. They were transported to the Lowndes County Jail without incident.
