DeKalb man convicted of pimping kids gets 40 years

DECATUR, Ga. — A DeKalb County man found guilty of human trafficking, pimping minors and sexual exploitation of children has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.

DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Gail Flake on Tuesday handed down the sentence for Darryl Curry and also ordered him to serve an additional 20 years on probation.

Prosecutors say that one of two young female victims contacted authorities in October 2011. Authorities executing a search warrant found another victim. They also found evidence of pimping and human trafficking, including videos of Curry teaching people how to become a pimp and profit from exploiting women.

Curry was convicted of 13 felony counts. A co-defendant in the case, John William Anderson, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
