Ga. fugitive found passed out in vehicle in W.Va.

LEWISBURG, W.Va. — Lewisburg police didn’t have to chase down a Georgia fugitive — he was found passed out in a vehicle.

Media outlets report police were called to a service station near the Lewisburg exit off Interstate 64 on Tuesday. That’s where Patrolman A.L. Workman found Derrick Lyndon Kimbrell in the vehicle.

Police Chief Tim Stover says the 23-year-old Kimbrell was wanted in Bibb County, Ga., for a probation violation stemming from making terroristic threats.

Kimbrell was taken to the Southern Regional Jail and awaits extradition proceedings.
