Three sought in assault on 80-year-old Ga. man

The Associated Press

EAST POINT, Ga. — Police in suburban Atlanta say they’re searching for three people accused of attacking an 80-year-old man.

East Point police say the man was in his car when he was assaulted in his driveway Sept. 14 by at least two men and a woman.

Officials say the woman driving the car blocked the man in his driveway and one of the suspects threw a brick through one of the man’s windows.

Police say the men pistol whipped the victim, who suffered broken bones in his face and cuts to both of his arms. Information on a possible motive behind the assault wasn’t immediately available.

Authorities say a reward of up to $2,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
