More Area School Closings

VALDOSTA — The following is a list of area schools reporting closings Tuesday due to weather. Valdosta schools will be open Tuesday, according to school officials.

Lowndes County Board of Education has closed schools countywide for Tuesday, citing weather concerns.

Berrien County Board of Education canceled school countywide for Tuesday, citing heavy rains and poor road conditions.

Brooks County Board of Education canceled classes for Tuesday, citing inclement weather.

Clinch County Boad of Education closed schools for students Tuesday, with staff asked to report at 9 a.m. if able.

Cook County Board of Education has closed schools Tuesday, based on forecasted weather conditions and out of precaution for transportation.

Lanier County Board of Education has canceled classes for all students Tuesday, but adult school staff should report if able.

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College cancelled its Monday evening classes and all of its classes scheduled for Tuesday. Wiregrass day staff and faculty are to report to work if able to travel safely.
