Classic car Super Cruise-In returns this weekend

VALDOSTA — Antique and vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles are expected to roll into town this week for the South Georgia Classic Car Club’s Seventh Annual Super Cruise-In.

This event is open to all classic cars, trucks, imports, low riders, rat rods and motorcycles, says Logan Birdsong, a car club spokesperson and member. There is no registration fee and the event is free to the public.

National Street Rod Association representative Richard Runnalls is expected to perform free vehicle inspections for interested owners of participating vehicles.

The South Georgia Classic Car Club, a Valdosta-based organization, was formed in 1984 and has been in continuous operation since that time. The SGCCC works year round through various charitable activities such as closely working with the Sheriffs Boys and Girls Ranch, Best Buddies, and more.

Last year, approximately 150 vehicles participated in the Cruise-In.

The South Georgia Classic Car Club’s Seventh Annual Super Cruise-In is scheduled for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 18, Valdosta Mall. More information: Contact Joey Weldon, (229) 834-6662; or Logan Birdsong, (229) 251-8558; or visit the car club’s website
