Flood warning issued for Valdosta area

VALDOSTA —

National Weather Service has issued the following:
 
River Flood Warning in effect from 7:02AM EDT TUE until 4PM EDT WED
 
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TALLAHASSEE HAS ISSUED A  * FLOOD WARNING FOR  THE WITHLACOOCHEE RIVER ABOVE VALDOSTA (SKIPPER BRIDGE RD).  * UNTIL WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.  * AT 5:30 AM TUESDAY THE STAGE WAS 14.4 FEET.  * MINOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.  * FLOOD STAGE IS 15.0 FEET.  * FORECAST... RISE ABOVE FLOOD STAGE BY THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE TO  RISE TO NEAR 16.0 FEET BY THIS EVENING. THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW  FLOOD STAGE BY TOMORROW LATE MORNING.  * IMPACT... AT 15.0 FEET... MINOR FLOODING BEGINS. LANGDALE PARK  FLOODS.
