Incumbents return in almost all South Georgia races

-- — Berrien, Brooks, Cook, Echols and Lanier counties saw little shake-ups in its election races based on the unofficial results from Tuesday elections.

Incumbents returned to office in almost all challenged races in these South Georgia counties.

A quick look at the challenged regional races in these counties as well as the votes on the charter school amendment.



BERRIEN COUNTY

With seven of seven precincts reporting, but not including provisional ballots. Races with opposition.



STATE SENATE, District 7

Tyler Harper (R): 4,786 ... 80.65%

Donald Mitchell (D): 1,148 ... 19.35%



JUDGE, Probate Court

Aleta Larger (R): 2,219 ... 36.45%

Susan W. Griner, I (D): 3,869 ... 63.55%



SHERIFF

Anthony Heath, I (R): 4,741 ... 77.85%

James A. McMillan (D): 1,349 ... 22.15%

Yes: 2,544 ... 43.64%

BROOKS COUNTY

Numbers reported by deadline, though the Secretary of State election site marked as 0 of 9 precincts reporting throughout the night. Brooks County Board of Elections officials could not be reached late Tuesday night to clarify the numbers posted.
