Valdosta police nab burglary suspect

VALDOSTA — The Valdosta Police Department responded to a Bemiss Road business regarding a burglary alarm Saturday morning at approximately 4 am. When officers arrived, after checking the business, they located two male burglars inside. The two offenders fled the scene and officers gave chase, apprehending one of the offenders. Officers also recovered several firearms near the business and now one Valdosta man, 19 year old Emmanuel Charles Bryant, is in jail facing charges of Burglary and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, said Valdosta Police Chief Brian Childress. Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians from the Valdosta-Lowndes Regional Crime Laboratory also responded to the business. At this point, the second offender is being sought. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
