VALDOSTA — Seven supporters seeking answers in the death of a Lowndes High School student were arrested this afternoon for blocking the entrance and exit to the Lowndes County Judicial Complex, said Lowndes County Sheriff Chris Prine.
For the past few weeks, family and friends of Kendrick Johnson, 17, have carried signs demanding 'Justice for KJ' and rallied on Downtown Valdosta street corners and on the steps of the judicial complex. Kendrick was found dead earlier this year at LHS. Authorities have said they do not believe the death resulted from foul play; family and friends believe foul play was involved.
Today, seven of the 'Justice for KJ' supporters held hands, reportedly blocked the doors, and were arrested.
