Surveillance cameras led to the arrest this morning of a suspect in the Wednesday night armed robbery outside of the Norman Drive Walmart, according to the Valdosta Police Department.
Kenneth Lewis, 45, of Valdosta was taken this morning to the Lowndes County Jail on an arrest warrant for armed robbery, police reported. Other charges are pending.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man approached a 48-year-old Lake Park woman in the Norman Drive Walmart’s parking lot. He held a knife to her and demanded the woman’s purse.
