Lowndes Co. Sheriff's Office seeks burglary suspect

VALDOSTA — On Wednesday afternoon, around 2:00 a resident of a Hall Road residence returned home and discovered that the front door was unlocked and their home had been burglarized. As the couple walked through their home they observed an unknown male flee out the back door into the woods behind the residence. The victims immediately called 9-1-1 for assistance.

The responding deputies and officers from the Hahira Police Department quickly established a perimeter and a Sheriff’s Office K-9 team began tracking the suspect. This effort continued for several hours and several sightings of the person were reported by residents in the Brookridge Road area. The search effort was called off shortly after 6:00 in the evening although deputies

continued to patrol the area throughout the night.

The suspect is described as a white male, had dark hair, was around 6’1” tall and was wearing khaki pants and a white tee shirt.
