Police: Woman carjacked truck with 2 kids in tow

MARIETTA, Ga. — Police in metro Atlanta say they’re searching for a woman who carjacked a pickup truck with her two young children at her side.

Police tell WSB-TV ( ) a woman tried stealing a taxicab from a bus terminal in Marietta Tuesday afternoon but was stopped by the driver. Officials say the woman abandoned her stroller and belongings then ran across the street to a gas station. Authorities say the woman found a pickup truck that was left running, jumped inside and took off with the owner clinging to the window.

Officials say the man was dragged for about two dozen feet and the woman blew through a stoplight before she disappeared.

If she’s caught, police say she’ll also face charges of aggravated assault for dragging the owner of the truck.
