Update: A Valdosta branch of Bank of America robbed

VALDOSTA — Bank of America, located at the intersection of Baytree and Gornto roads, was robbed at gunpoint by two black males — one heavy set and one thin — wearing black face coverings, according to the Valdosta Police Department.

The robbers arrived in a blue SUV that had no plates. They entered the bank around 9 a.m. and police were dispatched by 9:05 a.m.

The men stole an undisclosed amount of money and exited the bank, hopping in their running blue SUV.

The robbers drove out of the bank turning left onto Springhill Drive and turned right where it turned back into Baytree. The two men abandoned the blue SUV and hopped into another SUV that was driven by a third party.
