Registration begins for Lowndes Pre-K

VALDOSTA — Parents interested in registering their children for pre-kindergarten within the Lowndes County School System will be able to register their children throughout the month of February.

Admission into the Pre-K program for Lowndes County is based on a lottery drawing.

The Pre-K program is only open to children who will be four years old on or before Sept. 1.

Children eligible for kindergarten are not allowed to register for Pre-K. This means that children who will be five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2014  should wait and register for kindergarten at a later time.

Registration will be open Feb. 10-14 and 19-28 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. each day. Registration ends on Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. No exceptions or extensions will be allowed.

For more information or to find the application packet, please visit www.lowndes.k12.ga.us.

Parents should bring their completed packets and all required documents to the Lowndes County Board of Education office during the times listed above. The Board office is located at 1592 Norman Drive.
