Steel's Jewelry burglary investigated

VALDOSTA — The Valdosta Police Department has released the following statement:

 

 
On July 3, 2014 at approximately 12:00 a.m.  a burglary occurred at Steele’s Jewelry, 3338 Country Club Road, Valdosta.  Unknown offenders entered the business by breaking the glass on the front door.  A number of  glass jewelry cases were broken and an undetermined amount of jewelry was taken.  At this time the value of the jewelry is undetermined.  Some jewelry that had been removed from the case was recovered close to the scene.  A concerned citizen reported to 911 suspicious activity in proximity to the business and at that time police officers were dispatched.    Upon arrival at the scene, a search of the business and the area surrounding the business did not yield any suspects.  Crime Scene Personnel from the Valdosta Lowndes Regional Crime Laboratory responded to the scene.

The second annual 100 B-G-T Health Fair will be located at the Courtland Avenue Church of Christ in Quitman. All Valdosta-Lowndes County residents are welcome to attend.
