VSU student stabbed on campus

VALDOSTA — VALDOSTA — A Valdosta State University student is in stable condition after being stabbed on campus Thursday Night.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., a 19-year-old male student was stabbed near Nevins Hall. VSU campus police responded to the incident and requested the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the valdosta Police  Department.

The victim is in stable condition, and agents are continuing to search for individuals who may have been involved, according to Steve Turner, GBI special agent in charge.


No suspects have been taken into custody. According to Valdosta Police Chief Brian Childress, there is an agreement between VSU and Valdosta police in which incidents of this nature are turned over to the GBI for investigation.
