Jacob Bearrentine of Valdosta won the Camp Cocoon 5K on Saturday.
Bearrentine ran the five-kilometer race in 22:48, and finished more than a minute ahead of his closest competitor.
Audrey Williams of Valdosta was the women’s winner, with a time of 23:49. She finished second overall.
Six of the top 10 finishers were women. In addition to Williams, Erin Foote of Valdosta finished third overall, with a time of 23:49. Tiffany Music of Crestview, Fla. took sixth with a time of 25:19. Ali Thornhill of Valdosta was seventh, finishing the race in 26:07. Melanie Hall of Tifton placed eighth with a time of 26:30. India Music of Nicholls was 10th, completing the race in 27:50.
Carl LaRocque of Valdosta was the second male to finish, and the fourth runner overall, running the race in 24:01. Kevin Langley of Adel was fifth overall with a time of 24:24. Matt Harrell of Valdosta was ninth (26:37).
LaRocque, Langley, Harrell, Ronnie Metts of Hahira, Joe Christian of Naylor, Steven Gross of Valdosta and Cordell Copeland of Valdosta each won their age groups.
Foote, Tiffany Music, Gina Purvis of Tifton, Dana Spurlin of Tifton, Lexi Metts of Hahira, Carol Copeland of Dasher and Jenosha Copeland of Valdosta also won their age groups.
