VSU baseball camp coming soon
VALDOSTA — The Valdosta State baseball team will host its Instructional Showcase Sunday, June 2, from Noon to 5 p.m. at Billy Grant Field. Class of 2013 graduates, rising juniors and seniors and junior college sophomores are welcome to attend the pro-style workout that features pitcher vs. hitter confrontation and a campus tour.
The VSU baseball team will also host a Five-Tool Camp June 3-6 at Billy Grant Field. The camp is available for ages 7-12 and is an all-around skills camps that focused on the “five tools” of baseball: Throwing, catching, base running, hitting for average and power. Water slides, lunch and T-shirt included. The Instructional Week will be held June 10-11, June 12-13 and is available for ages 8-12. The camp is a two-day camp that specializes in infield/outfield play, pitcher/catcher techniques and advanced hitting. It will also feature the new Sandlot Games.

VSU softball camps to be held in June
VALDOSTA — The Valdosta State softball team will host camps this June. Head coach Thomas Macera and select players will host a camp June 10-12 and another June 23-26. The June 10-12 camp is available for ages 13-18, while the June 23-26 camp is available for children ages 8-12. Both camps run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.
The cost is $120 per individual and $110 per family. Each participant will receive a free drawstring bag, water bottle, camp T-shirt and mid-morning snack. The VSU softball team faces Molloy College Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the opening game of the National Championship Tournament in Salem, Va.
TU basketball camps announced
THOMASVILLE — The Thomas University men’s basketball team will host a pair of basketball camps this summer at Thomas University in Thomasville. The first session will be held June 17-21, while the second session will run July 29- Aug. 2.
Both sessions will run from 9 a.m. — 4 p.m. each day. The camp is available to boys and girls, ages 4-16.
