VALDOSTA — VHS Season Tickets on Sale Now

VALDOSTA — Valdosta High School season tickets are on sale no for the coming football season. General admission ticket prices, which are set by the region, have increased this year to $10. This includes seating in sections A, F, G and all of the visitor’s side of Bazemore-Hyder Stadium. Student ticket prices will remain the same at $5 each. Reserved seats have also increased and will be $12 each.  This includes seating in sections B, C, D and E on the home side along with K and L on the visitors side.  Current season ticket holders and anyone wishing to become season ticket holders can purchase tickets at a discounted rate for all seven of the 2013 home games for $70 a seat. Current season ticket holders have until July 26, 2013 to renew their season tickets.  On July 27, they will be released and sold to those on a waiting list, no exceptions.  For more information please call the VHS Football Ticket office at (229) 671-6049.


Valwood’s Patel named All-State

VALDOSTA — Valwood golfer Ajay Patel was named All-State after shooting a 74 in the GISA Class AA state tournament Monday. Ben Trancygrier shot an 82, Peyton Trancygrier 84 and Jake Lastinger shot an 85. Valwood finished fourth in the state with a 325.

Lowndes boys golf qualifies for state

ROSWELL — Lowndes’ golf team is one of eight teams to advance to the Class 6A state tournament. Lowndes shot a team score of 322 to get into the field. Tripp Talley shot a 75, Cole Peters an 81 and Bryant Thagard and Cole Young each fired an 82. The state tournament is held at the Spring Hill Country Club in Tifton on Monday.
