Sucher shoots 7-under 65
Zach Sucher, a Monday qualifier for the tournament, fired a 7-under 65 in Sunday’s final round, moving him into a tie for 11-under par for event. Despite finishing second, Sucher did not earn conditional status for the Web.com Tour, as he is $10,000 shy of earning as much money as the 100th place finisher on the money list in 2012. With his top 25 finish, Sucher automatically qualified for this week’s Stadion Classic at UGA in Athens, which tees off Thursday, where he can earn enough money to make the status. On Sunday, Sucher made eagle on the par-5 second, before making birdies on Nos. 3, 5, 7, 8, 11 and 18. He bogeyed the par-4 12th, his only blemish on the day.
