Valdosta outlasts Columbia in 10 innings

LAKE CITY, Fla. — Valdosta’s baseball team defeated Columbia 11-9 in 10 innings on Thursday night.

Corey Jaramillo had a big night, going 4 for 5 and driving in five runs. Jaramillo’s two-out, two-strike two-run single in the top of the seventh tied the score and sent the game into extra innings.

David Posas was the winning pitcher. Jacob Davis held Columbia scoreless in the 10th to earn the save.

Posas and Bradley Felkel had three hits each for Valdosta.

The Wildcats will host Suwannee on Saturday at 1 p.m.
