The Turner County Rebels were able to make a late comeback against the Berrien Rebels on Friday night for a come-from-behind 41-34 victory.
Berrien led Turner County the entire game until Turner made a late push.
Berrien was up 14-6 after the first quarter and they continued to extend their lead early in the second quarter as the Berrien Rebels were able to take a 21-6 lead with about eight minutes remaining in the half.
Turner County began to make a game out of it in the second half, battling back to cut the lead to 28-22 as the game entered the fourth quarter.
With just over eight minutes remaining in the game, Berrien scored another touchdown that brought the score to 34-22 and the game looked just about over at that point.
However, Turner County did not get the memo.
Turner County found a way to score pull the game out late in the fourth, beating Berrien and head coach Ed Pilcher.
