BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Valdosta State men's basketball team saw its season come to an end Sunday evening in the Gulf South Conference championship game.
The Blazers lost to Christian Brothers University 65-62 in the championship game. Trailing by three with 3.5 seconds remaining, the Blazers' Patrick Diop missed a pair of free throws and senior Shaquille Harris' 3-pointer clanked off the rim as time expired.
VSU ends the season with a 19-11 record. The Lady Blazers will learn their fate in the NCAA tournament at 9 p.m. Eastern Sunday night.
