Georgia Christian splits with Crisp Academy

DASHER — Georgia Christian’s basketball teams split with Crisp Academy on Tuesday.

The Georgia Christian boys defeated Crisp 54-43. C.J. Lynch led the Generals with 16 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots. Jeremiah Beverly scored 14 points.

The GCS girls lost 57-14 to Crisp, the defending GISA Class A state champion. Madi Mitchell scored 22 points for Crisp.

Last Friday, Georgia Christian’s boys beat Fullington Academy 54-27. Lynch had another double-double, scoring 20 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and blocking five shots. Beverly had 17 points for the Generals.

The Lady Generals beat Fullington 38-34 in overtime. Lindsey Levings led Georgia Christian with 15 points.

Georgia Christian will travel to Bainbridge to play Grace Christian on Friday.
