Lowndes sweeps Camden

VALDOSTA — Head coach Kingston Clark called it a "great night", as the Lowndes Vikings beat the Camden County Wildcats 90-58 Friday night.

Justin Williams led all scorers with 26 points, while Tremayne Tippins finished with 18 points, 13 in the first quarter. Chris Hill finished with 11 and Alan Urrutia finished with nine points, eight assists and seven steals.

Senior Kenny Moore finished with eight assists on the night. The Vikings (13-6, 2-2 Region 1-AAAAAA) scored 20 or more points in every quarter, except the fourth, when they finished with 18 points. Lowndes visits Brunswick tonight at 7:30 p.m.

Vikettes beat Camden County, 50-43

VALDOSTA — The Lowndes Vikettes used five straight fourth-quarter points from Lexus Miller to pull away from the Camden County Lady Wildcats, to earn the 50-43 win Friday night.

The game was close throughout, but Miller's run allowed the Vikettes to separate and improve to 2-2 in Region 1-AAAAAA. Tashia Brown led with 21 points, 13 rebounds, while Coretta Haddin finished with eight points. The Vikettes (13-4) visit Brunswick tonight.
