ADEL — Cook’s baseball team wrapped up its regular season with a 6-4 victory over Thomas County Central Saturday.

Trevor Hand was the winning pitcher, allowing four hits and striking out four in six innings. Kaleb Cowart closed out the game for the win.

At the plate, Cowart hit a two-run homer. Justin Sadler had a two-run double and Parker Nix had an RBI double.

Cook (22-4), ranked No. 2 in Class AA, opens the playoffs at home against Southeast Bulloch on Friday. The first game of Friday’s doubleheader starts at 3 p.m.
