Wildcats, Lady ’Cats roll past Colquitt

By Wayne Grandy, The Moultrie Observer

A free throw by Alisha Crawford put the Lady Wildcats up 40-33 with 31 seconds left.

Colquitt County’s Bria Wallace had a free throw and Nicolle Thomas added a basket and a 3-pointer in the waning seconds, but they were not enough.

Crawford led Valdosta with 10 points. Kendra Patrick added nine, as the Valdosta girls evened their region record at 1-1 and raised their overall record to 6-4.

The Lady Wildcats will face Warner Robins, 2-1 in the region, on Friday.

Thomas had 14 to lead the Lady Packers. Umeika Henry added 10.

The Colquitt County girls fall to 6-6 overall and 1-1 in the region.
