Alishia Gaston, a social studies teacher at Lowndes Middle School, is one of 32 educators from across the nation selected to attend C-SPAN Classroom’s 2014 Educators’ Conference to be held in Washington, DC, Monday, July 7, and Tuesday, July 8, 2014.
LHS graduate heading to West Point
Jadon was a 2014 Honor Graduate from Lowndes High, graduating as #15 of 663 in his class. He was in the Advanced Placement (AP) Program and completed eight AP courses.

Georgia announces new testing system
The Georgia Department of Education will implement a new testing system, the Georgia Milestones Assessment System (Georgia Milestones) during the 2014-2015 academic year. The new system will replace both the CRCT and the EOCT.
