Brooks County Schools host Parent Connection workshops

QUITMAN — Quitman Elementary  Parents and Guardians are invited to attend the Parent Connection workshops on Monday, Sept. 9 from 5:30 to 7:30pm at Quitman Elementary School.  Brooks County Schools, Brooks County Family Connections and Brooks County ECHOES 21st Century Community Learning Centers afterschool program are collaborating this year to provide opportunities for parents in their quest to support their child’s academic success.  The sessions are 25 minutes each and include: Being Your Child’s Biggest Fan, Transitioning into Kindergarten, Nutrition and What it Means to You and Your Family and CRCT preparation.  There will be free childcare and free dinner for participants.  Parents who have not already registered and would like to attend the workshops can contact, Mrs. Sharah Denton, Parent and Community Relations Specialist for Brooks County Schools at sdenton@brooks.k12.ga.us or 229-263-7531 ext 2004.
