SPARKS — Wiregrass Georgia Technical College will offer a two hour Arc Flash Electrical Hazard safety training course which is designed for individuals who routinely work around equipment or in some type of environment where electrical hazards potentially exist.
This training course provides a general overview for electrical safety to prevent damage to facilities and equipment, prevent injuries, and possibly save lives! This course will cover topics such as General OSHA Requirements, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584 Standard, Electrical Hazards, Shock Boundary, Flash Boundary, Understanding the NFPA 70E Tables, Hazard Risk Categories, and more! The Wiregrass Arc Flash Electrical Hazard course is offered through the Continuing Education Department and is a non-credit course.
The Wiregrass Arc Flash Electrical Hazard safety training course will be held at the Cook County Workforce Development Center in Sparks, GA on Friday, May 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This course is 99 dollars per person. To register for the Arc Flash Electrical Hazard course interested participants can go by the Cook County Workforce Development Center to complete a registration form or contact Bill Tillman, Director of Economic Development at (229)219-1379.
