VALDOSTA — The Valdosta High School Boy's Quartet won first place at the state literary competition in Warner Robins on Saturday, March 16, at Northside High School. Students Dexter Sharper, Josh Sharper, Dylan Sharper and Antonio Hall were excited after hearing the 2nd and 3rd place schools announced and because they knew that they would be named the State Champs for Boy's Quartet.
Also placing at the state level were Lorna Chitty in 4th place for Girl's Extemporaneous Speaking who drew the speech topic of "tanning beds" and Hannah Findlay in 2nd place for Girl's Dramatic Interpretation.
