Brooks students congratulated

QUITMAN — Brooks County Schools sent the following release:

Brooks County Middle School Principal Dr. Djana Goss, presented 13 seventh graders letters of congratulations for qualifying to participate in the Talent Search Program sponsored by Duke University. Based on their CRCT or nationally normed ability tests, the students have been invited to take the SAT or ACT along with juniors and seniors in high school. If a student scores at a qualifying level, he or she will be able to attend the Duke University Talent Identification Program during the summer. The purpose of TIP is to identify academically talented young people and provide them with challenging, innovative and highly motivating educational programs in a university setting.
