The Valdosta Daily Times

VALDOSTA — Thanks to the person in front of me at Zacadoos on  Baytree Road who paid for my breakfast last Friday. This is the first time in my life this has happened to me. I thank you.

During a recent procedure at SGMC Outpatient Center, I met three caring and compassionate professionals. Thank you Dr. Querin, Katrina, RTUR and the young man from the lab.

Many thanks to Lowndes 4-H for their Cloverleaf program! Congrats to all of those who participated in the District Project Achievement in Moultrie. Our area has many talented fifth and sixth grade students!

For those that didn't know him, James Oliver passed away recently. His house was the Snoopy House at Christmas on Jerry Jones Road and brought many years of excitement to young children. Thank you, Mr. Oliver, and God speed.

A big rave to the City of Valdosta for the Gornto cut through. It is just wonderful. Thank you so much!

I would like to thank all the restaurants in the local area that provided a free meal on Veterans Day to all who served this great nation. I would also like to thank those who orchestrated the Veterans Day events held at the Bazemore-Hyder Stadium. A classy event!

Many thanks to the faculty and staff at Moulton-Branch Elementary! We had a great time eating Thanksgiving lunch with our son in Mrs. Causey and Mrs. Dufresne's class. It was well-organized, the kids were adorable, and the food was great!

A rave to Ms. Smith for her recent Letter to the Editor. Being a Vietnam vet, I Grrr'ed a bit at the picture but then realized that after the draft ended, less than 1 percent of our population protects the rest. They just do not understand ... or maybe they do.

Rave to Sallas Mahone Elementary. This is my child's first year there, and his transition to the new school was made so easy because of the great people who work there. Every person our family has had contact with at the school has been friendly, kind, and helpful. Thank you for making his year start so well.

Thank you to the three homeless people who yelled for us to stop when our puppy had jumped out of our truck. If we had not seen you waving your hands, our sweet doggie could have been more seriously injured or even died. Thank y'all again for caring.
