Raves for Wednesday, September 4, 2013

The Valdosta Daily Times

VALDOSTA — Editor’s Note: In 2013, Wednesdays will be  rave-only days. Thank you to our readers for your support.

Last year, on the 26th of August, I almost died with salmonella. God was the first person I needed to thank, but also Dr. Urbonas and the ICU nurses that knew their business. Also the others that were there for my healing! I don't remember all of you but I know all of you were there for me! Thanks again, God bless all of you!

To the driver of the little white truck at Chick-Fil-A on Thursday, your Pay-it-Forward for my meal made my day! Thank you and God bless you!

I was recently hospitalized at SGMC on the third floor. I want to say a big heartfelt thanks to Erica, Misty and Monique for taking such wonderful care of me. They were some of the kindest, most caring people I have ever met there. Also, Zach from the blood lab was fantastic in drawing blood. Thank all of you so much.

A big thank you to officer Willis and her partner with VPD for your quick and most appropriate response Friday night. The action you took was what our family has needed for months. We are grateful for the way you handled the situation.

Two thumbs up to the McDonald’s on Ashley Street, especially to Miranda at the cashier. She is so kind and sweet; she makes me want to keep going back.

Thank you to the person who picked up the tab at Olive Garden for all of the Langdale residents having a night out.  What a generous and kind thing to do. You made their night. They are all still talking about it.

Steak n' Shake has a wonderful waitress, Sabrina! Thank you for chatting with me after I finished eating my free Birthday Burger.

I want to rave about the newly reopened Lake Dogs in Lake Park. The new owners are very friendly, the new décor is very inviting and the menu has been redesigned and expanded. Last night was pasta night and the pasta was delicious and the portions were extremely generous. Please patronize them if you are in Lake Park.

Oak Terrace Apartments have never looked better! Thank you, Richard Evans, for your hard work.

There are also positive things that occur in Echols. As a proud graduate of Echols County, the area has produced good stock as well, such as attorneys, doctors, and some great teachers.
