VALDOSTA — About drug testing for food stamp recipients: as a food stamp recipient, I have absolutely no problem with drug testing. Why should the taxpayers pay for our food if we use drugs? People who work have to have drug testing so why shouldn’t we? If we want to do drugs then we should provide our own food!

To the pregnant parent in the school parking lot that was complaining about some person smoking, if you have a problem with it, then go sit somewhere else. We need to go back to having smoking and non-smoking areas like we used to instead of trying to outlaw them. I can sit in my car and smoke whenever I want to. Cigarettes are my free right and if you do not want your unborn child inhaling smoke, then don’t light one up! Have a nice day!

I want to rave about the continued care my mother is receiving by Dr. Zeigler, Dr. Ward and the third-floor nurses as well as the care she received from registered nurses Melissa, Michael and Roger in ICU at SGMC. Thank you and bless you for going above and beyond.

The rodeo was a great event for the area, but hopefully next year there will be more seating. Many people paid ahead of time and didn’t get to see anything.

You can tell a lot about a person by observing how they treat office staff and other first points of contact.

Thank you to the man that retrieved my debit card and turned it into my bank. I was in a hurry and forgot to remove it. Thankful an honest person got it. Would like to thank you in person but know that I am grateful and thank God for you. God bless you.

It looks like General Motors’s regulators were in bed with the company. When we constantly praise “job creators” and beat up on regulators, pretty soon they get the message and leave the companies to do as they please.

Lowndes County School Board, please  explain to the board employees and tax payers why an assistant  superintendent was paid for several months for a job he refused to do.

What month has been designated to celebrate husbands that are faithful to their wife, involved with their children, gainfully employed and the spiritual leader of their home? I guess that wouldn't be politically correct in a country that no longer has a moral compass.
