-- — From the headline today (3-25-14) it would appear that Wayne LaPierre of the National Rifle Association is correct. "Good guys with guns stop crime."

Please, tell us how the "Republican way" has anything to do with the sewage issue... The sewage issue is as the traffic light issue... Both were installed decades ago and have never been updated to handle the increase in population and drivers.

So the mayor goes on the radio to say people who live at Kinderlou are doing something bad because they dont’ want government drones flying around their houses taking photos? I live in Stone Creek, and I don’t want the city flying drones around my house either. Maybe we should all take our cameras and film the mayor and city manager and see how much they enjoy having their privacy violated. Shame on the city for spending tax dollars to spy on people.

Eric Holder, Attorney General, has issued a "Royal Command" that mandates the 30,000 federal inmates who are released to "half-way houses" will now have "free cell phones and free transportation" to transition them back into society. Just become a convict, and you too can get free housing, free job training, free cell phones, and bus money. Our tax dollars at work!

Does anyone know where I can get a Yamaha keyboard repaired in the area? Thank you.

If a proper auditorium was built for Drama, maybe it, too, could generate money. Bravo, Mrs. Childree! Your musicals are stellar — your actors superb! Performing in a lecture hall- an incredible feat. Boo to Lowndes County Board of Education for only supporting sports!

To those who have continually put down concealed firearm carriers, we're not vigilantes, we're not out to "supplement" the police. In most cases, you never even know we're there. It's to protect ourselves and others from harm if the situation arises. We are law abiding citizens, exercising our 2nd Amendment rights. I hope, someday, that you're not in need of one of us...

Hats off to SGMC emergency room and ICU staff. They were very professional during my stay.

Thanks to the gentleman last week in Hardee’s who paid for my breakfast. God bless you and it is good to know there are kind citizens in the world today.

I wish the city would repair the potholes on Eager Road. They are a liability.
